Back in Baghdad

Arriving at the UN Compound (also named Tamimi) in Baghdad. UN staff are accomodated in containers protected by sandbags and over-head roof protection in case of rockets. Windows are blocked with sand bags. The absence of daylight is hard to handle, especially as most staff stay for a four-week cycle. Wearing bullet proof jacket (10 kilos) and helmet (2 kilos) is compulsory during the trip from Baghdad airport to the UN compound, as well as when there is a rocket alert (although i am not sure it would be of any help!).
